Torch bevelling the edge of a cut steel part

Bevelling, flattening, deburring and shot blasting

Cut parts finished so your welders can use them straight away.

A cut part is rarely ready to weld. In Drienovec the cutting line continues with the operations a welding shop would otherwise do by hand: flattening, bevelling, deburring, grinding, shot blasting and marking.

Two levelling machines and a straightening press bring cut parts back to flatness. Bevels are made by gas torch or on CNC bevelling machines (Pullmax and Trumpf). A deburring machine and manual grinding remove sharp edges and dross, and a shot blasting line removes mill scale before welding or painting.

Each operation is booked in our ERP, so every kit leaves with its traceability.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Why shot blast before welding?
Removing mill scale and oxide gives cleaner welds and better paint adhesion later. We blast plate before or after cutting, depending on the part.
Can you hold a flatness tolerance on thick parts?
Yes. Thick oxy-cut parts are straightened on our press and checked before they are packed.
